what do you guys think? yay or nay? its for my 4.0 stang and i desperately need a good intake and the tunable looks hot with its shield and carbon fiber pipe. its either that one or the WMSracing intake. your opinions would be great cuz i honestly am hoping to cut back on exterior mods for just a bit to spend some time under the hood. it will be the intake and the pulley first off. once my friend gets his diablo tuner i will use that to tune some more and free up some HP from the new intake. thanx

You are correct sir

i'd go with one off ebay instead. they're a lot cheaper and you're getting pretty much the same thing. the only real difference is the material the tubing is made out of.

well bringing back an old thread... the densencharger/demolet tuneable intake "put performs" the bbk sheet metal, metal intakes do to the pvc plastic piping, the plastic absorbs less heat for more cold air induction, i spent 165 for one and was well worth it, i felt a slight difference in throttle responce and a little more pep

Was this over the stock airbox?

yes it was just replacing the whole thing... stock to aftermarket fenderwall with the filter down by the fog light opening
Well I have had both.
The air isn't in there long enough to transfer much heat so $50 vs $150 is how I decided.

I used to have the Densecharger too, but after I had my car dynoed, someone pointed out to me that my a/f ratio was shifting lean at a certain point and that the Densechargers tended to do that, whereas the other ones don't.
Right now I have a tube going from the throttle body to the MAF sensor from an ebay CAI that I had at one point, with a cheap $5 MAF adapter once again from ebay with a 9" K&N conical filter. I then made a plexiglass shield to separate it from the engine bay. That sounds way more complicated than it really is... I'll try to post pics tomorrow.
In CAI design you want 3 times the diameter of your pipe in straight pipe in front & behind the MAF. The Densecharger did not have that.

Ack! I think that means what I have now is screwed up too!

Thanks! Wouldn't it need more straight pipe in front of the MAF though (according to your 3x diameter of your tubing rule)?
No that should be ok. The 3x is mostly for bends on either side of the MAF so the airflow smooths out.

Ok, gotcha. Thanks Kirk.
