I have the Quicklift base kit. they were cheap and they look great. i bought them a couple years ago before the other two versions were available.
Like i said, they look great, easy to install, and they clean up the look of your car with the hood up. I recommend them.

I have the redline "quick lift elite" and so does a friend of mine. They are silver with black brackets. He has them on his silver cobra and they look and work great. I really hated the metal prop rod.

Have any of you with these had issues with the hood "bending" slightly at the support points or had cracking there? I have read about this issue, but it might be with a different brand? Or only this happens with aftermarket hoods?

No problems at all, been on for 1.5 years now. I thought I would have problems with the bracket loosening up on the composite hood, but all is well. They are very cool and look like the belong there.

I think your car is the one I saw at Fish Day with them.

& yes I am looking at the Elite ones.

That's the one Kirk. That summer we installed them on Jim's silver cobra. He really likes them as well.

I had the entry level ones on my Mach and they worked great. Very good instructions, simple and cheap!!!

I saw the black one's on Joel's black Mach 1, they matched well and looked great, I liked the "elite" silver ones on my blue car. Also, the mounting brackets come pre-painted on the elite series, I like the black brackets with the silver pistons. Personal preference I know, but the bottom line is they work great and I was able to eliminate that metal prop rod. These cars should have come with the gas struts from the factory, even my excursion came with them.
