Only the best chase scene EVER

Bullitt was just on Encore. Honestly I've never watched the movie from beginning to end just the chase. Secretly, I watch it for the 68 Charger. They are a gorgeous muscle car IMO. My dad has a 70 which was the reason I was introduced to the film in the first place. If I ever buy a 60's era muscle car it will be a 68 Charger. Thought I'd share.

The chase seen is great-the rest of the movie makes me sleepy though.

That's an excellent movie! If you follow the plot it's great!

I have the Mustang and the Charger diecasts in my collection...

When you watch that chase, count how many times the hubcaps come off the Charger.

Also, in one scene, the Charger was destroyed when the stunt driver went around the corner and struck a parked car. They slightly edited the footage and you can see it in the chase scene. They also severly damaged one of the Mustangs when the car came down very hard and destroyed the K-member and tore open the oil pan. That scene is also spliced in there...

I always thought it was funny that the Charger seems to loose the same caps multiple times. I knew about the Charger's wreck, it's pretty easy to pick out. I didn't know about the Mustang's damage though. I have it on DVD i'll have to see if I can find that splice.
