Well, I took the car out today and beat on it some more. Towards the end of the night I started getting that roller rocker ticking noise again. Not as loud this time as it did the other day but it's getting there. Could it be loosening up again this soon??

What happens when a lifter goes bad?? Can the stud loosen up and cause this?? Hmm....maybe I'll have to pull the valve cover again :thud: It's pretty easy but time consuming...
I'll go through and check all rockers the next time. I was in a race against the rain last time and got the one rocker that was very obviously loose. Oh well......

do you have stud or ped mount rockers? are you pulling out a stud? are you using polylocs?

I have stud mount rockers. No polylocs. I am hoping to get over to the garage today and pull it apart again. Is there any kind of loc tite or something that can be put on the stud nuts that will keep them from backing off at all?

Don't even bother messing around with loctite, locwashers, locnuts....blah blah exc.. Buy some polylocs and your problem with be solved. Then you know you won't be adjusting rockers again because they are coming loose.

How much for a set of those? I pulled the valve covers and the same rocker was loose again.
