So many lurkers again...

So say something. :D

My weekend was cold and cloudy. I spent much of it at GLD. It was so cold I stayed in the tower most of the time except for picture taking.

Today we got rained out very early. There were probably 65 cars there today (Over 300 on Saturday though!)

Regardless, the smell of race fuel, jet cars, smoky burnouts and the sound of open headers all make my senses tingle.

Losing an hour of sleep sucks.

That is all.

Anyone else?

Fired up the 86 today for the first time since last November. When I parked it I put it up on jack stands and disconnected the battery. After finally putting in the under drives I reconnected the battery and it started almost immediately. Other than that it was a pretty uneventful weekend.

Well, on Saturday I helped a friend work on his '55 Chevy, then today I went and looked at a boat with an old neighbor. Still have not pulled the cover off the mach yet, hopefully this week. I am just waiting for it to get a little nicer out. I have to install a strut tower brace and also figure out why the back-up lights quit working late last season. Now I am on the computer and it is absolutely pouring rain big time outside. The roads are nice and clean now, so hopefully with some sunshine we can get Spring started! :thumbs_up

I worked on the stang Saturday doing some trim and interior stuff, then today I went to the store and sat on my a## and watched movies!!! Pretty boring. Sounds like open headers and race fuel would have been a better choice!

Lets see, Saturday went to the beach in the morning. Later that night, we went to the island import nights at the Guam Int. Raceway for a car show. Lot of cars shipped over from Japan, so it was interesting to say the least. Most entertainment was the bikini and wet t-shirt contest. Sunday, went into town and then cooked out at the beach. Then had to be back in at work at midnight. Other than that still sunny and 90 everyday!!

I worked on my stang too this weekend thinking with all the rain my mustang season would start on Monday, only to find out that a bushing set for factory mustang control arms will not work in my Granatelli control arms. Uhg! Well at least I got my tranny out yesterday too and can put my $12 worth of parts in it so it will work properly again

Was hoping to take the Camaro out this weekend, but decided to get some hours in at 2 of my jobs instead both days.
Went to see a couple of movies with Matt and went out to eat,so it still had some fun factor in it.

Pretty uneventful as well. I tinkered with the XP8 a bit and it's going in for its facelift this week. The weather is pretty depressing, but it's to be expected for early April I guess. I also did some MMA Car Show stuff to try to get some things organized. Back to work tomorrow, and getting my students to do some work will be a real chore.

Work on Saturday & the rest of the weekend was gray, gloom & doom weather that we always have. So sick of it I can't take it any more..........

Friday saw V for Vendetta and met some friends for late dinner.
Sat helping a friend clean up a big pile of brush. Free beer and some very good homemade lasagna with garlic bread.
Today put up the snow thrower, got out the lawn tractor and some garage cleaning.

Well, since you asked... Did inventory at work saturday morning and when I got home I was told that my Grandmother had passed away. She would have been 97 later this month. I had made my peace with this long ago so I'm doing ok. There was nothing for me to do concerning arrangements and such so I headed out into the garage and finally started work on the Mustang.
The V6 and auto are coming out to make way for a DOHC and 5 speed combo. I'm dropping them out the bottom so I need to get my compressor hooked up so I can get the k-member bolts removed. I figured out today how I was going to run 220 out into the garage so that will mean a trip to Menards tomorrow.
Oh yeah, I took a nap this afternoon and watched the Overhaulin' marathon tonight.

I worked all weekend.........with the exception of last night. I was sick last night, probably from working so damn much. Only 31 years to go before retirement.......
