didn't you order them yet? :D I would also get studs & poly locks for the new roller rockers. I know John @ Fast Times can get you a deal on all this stuff, & he will know what brand is good, for a high powered street car like you have.
at the RSD you should have been saying, man I don't even have roller rockers on this motor, its not setup to go fast. thers no way it runs low 11s. :thumbs_up

You could see maybe a 5-20 horsepower gain from stock rockers. If your camshaft is a limiting factor in your combo then going to a higher ratio rocker would diffenately make since. It depends on your engine setup.
I saw no measurable increase in e.t. when switching from 1.6 to 1.72 ratio rockers on my '84. The higher ratio rockers caused valve float on my stock springs which canceled any gain from more the increase on valve lift. Now is also the time to replace weak valve springs if your engine is apart .
If you have the stock rockers, then I would ditch them just due to the increased reliability and reduced friction in the valve train.

Yup, they are worth it. Stronger than stock & more precise part that the stamped stock rockers. No you won't slow down with the roller rockers.
They are a good thing @ a relatively low cost.

i would have thought you had them already...................

If you have a GT-40 crate motor that has stamped rockers, then those must be the iron GT-40 heads? I'd convert those heads to stud mount rockers if you decide to buy new roller rockers. Might as well do it right. Better yet, sell those heads to me cheap and go buy some nice AFR's or Trick Flows.

no i have the x heads alluminum. the motor just came with standard rockers. not sure how i missed that.
Roller rockers increase internal efficiency by reducing friction. You'll get more power as well as gain a little efficiency while driving down the road. With the same valve opening profile, the actual amount of fuel being used won't change, but the meer reduction in friction will be the (substantial) output increase.
