GT and LX tail light question

Since I pulled my lenses off my car and put the smoked ones on, I've been trying to see if someone wants my lenses. I looked at my friend's GT cheesgraters (cracked to hell) and was trying to see if the actual assembly is the same (light bulb placement). It looks to be about the same but I didn't put our cars side by side to do a comparison. If they are I wanna see if he would want my LX lenses, anyone know if the assembly/bulb placement is the same?

They should work fine. I did that swap on Kirk's GT when I owned it, everything should bolt right in place no problems...

I'm not talking about the whole assembly, I'm just talking about the lenses themselves. I just pried the old LX lenses off the assembly on mine and put the smoke ones on, I'm wondering if the GT assembly is the same but the cheesgraters are actually just a lense?

I think they are the same the wires all lay in the correct spots when the LX housings are put in, so I would think the bulb location is the same. Ill check when get to work today, and post up later.

Exactly, the layout is the same as there is no difference as to what is happening behind the louvers. The GT louvers are just laid over the top of the lenses...

the only difference between the entire assembly are the lenses...the housings are the same including bulb layout

but iirc the gt lights use all white bulbs and the lx lenses have a pair of yellows or something
