That really sucks Scott!!!

I runa Motorsport King Cobra (it is very inexpensive too) ,which I love myself. But I have only heard good things about the Centerforce too.

are you sure you want a stage 3. I have a 393 and they told me a stage 2 would work just fine. They said that I could go with the stage 3 but it woudl grip so hard that they would worry about me breaking the tranny input shaft.

I haven't had any slipping problems with my stage 2 at all. Everyone tells me my car has enough power and is fast enough to be in the 11's. I don't know how fast it is yet but I will find out next week I think. Well I plan on getting some g tech numbers today but who knows how accurate those are. I would also ask on the corral they are much larger and I think you would get a better range of answers. I guess my opinion is that even with spray your talking about have a low to mid 12 second car. Then the stage 2 would be just fine IMO. There are some authorized spec dealers on the corral also. You can email them and tell them what you wanna do with your car and just ask them which clutch they would go with. Thats is what I did because the price difference between the stage 2 and 3 is only like $10. Thats when a guy replied and said he would worry about me breaking the input shaft. Alot of people do say that the stage 3 is like an on/off switch though and that it is not very street friendly. Which I think is why when you look in the corral classifieds you will see more stage 3's for sale then stage 2's. If you wanted to go for a ride sometime in my car or something I could maybe meet you in green bay or something. Maybe then you can get a better idea of what you currently have and what I have and go from there. Just an idea let me know what you think.

Still using the stock clutch, but when time come, i've only heard great things about McLeod. I'd get a stage 2.

ever considered clutch masters?

Robin has been running them for years now...his r/s clutch has a factory feel
they're lighter in effort than most aftermarket clutches, yet have much better clamping/holding properties. the thing is, as with any diaphram style pressure plate, they do tend to deform after use...the only way to avoid that (and the only real solution for a serious high rpm/hp combo) is to use a long style clutch/pp combo

I've got a Centerforce pressure plate with a Ford Motorsport HD disc. I mixed and matched because my '83 convertible I bought already had the Centerforce plate with an unkown disc. I wanted a newer disc so I used my Ford Motorsport HD disc. I love the clutch and low pedal effort but I'm only making 300 hp. My next engine build will be with a Clutch Masters setup.
