i need an oil change soon (as in yesterday, ha), and when i was up at the parts house today, i saw this stuff and it looked pretty interesting.
has anyone ever used lucas oil stabilizer? (i think that's what it's called) does it work like its supposed to? do you recomend it/is it worth getting?
I think Ryan uses it in his cobra.

Yes I do use it and I love it.....It sticks to metal like no other.....over the winter I disassembled my engine to build my new one and you could see if stuck on the walls on the block....It is thick stuff and if u see a display you can see how it really coats the gears.....I also used the power steering stuff in my moms car....we couldn't get it to stop whinning until we put that stuff in.....Just my thoughts.

I have heard nothing but good about
my buddy used it in his nitrous honda civic.when he got tired of the motor that was in it, so he drained the oil and coolant and made a full bottle worth of n2o passes on a back raod by his house and the he could not get the motor to let go
when we tore it apart everything looked great

Is it safe to use with synthetic oils?

more windage = less hp
I was thinking along the lines of Mat, it increases the viscosity. There's a trade-off. Do you want it to stick to everything for that extra peace of mind, or are you looking for power?

i was kinda wondering about that. i ended up skipping it though, b/c i didn't feel like spending the money and my dad and i changed it on a spur of the moment type of deal. :D
