Holley Heads

I am thinking about buying a used set, anyone have any experience with these heads? Anything I should know, or look for hen I check them out? What seems like a fair price for a set of used heads? Thanks :shifter:

I think back in the day. Brodix made them for Holley. Not sure if they still do.

Premature valve guide wear is the only thing that I've heard negative about the Holley heads. $450 would be a great deal if they are ready to bolt on. If they need guides and a valve job then you'll need to sink another $200 or so in them.

I use the 50% rule when buying used parts. If you can bolt them on for 1/2 the price of new, then it is a great deal. I try not to exceed 70% of the new price.
