Well it is looking like I will be needing new tires soon so what should I get another set of BFG DR's or a set of ET Streets?

I've run ET Streets on the street for entire seasons on Nice Asp. it's nice to have that traction when you need it but the ride quailty is AWFUL. It also does not take much to puncture them. But when you need it, the traction is there. ;)

Just don't drive in the rain!

Yeah, i've heard those ET streets really dance back there while cruising since the the sidewalls are non-existent pretty much. I'd be a little worried driving on the HWY's with those soft sidewalls bowing around, but hey, go for it Joel, you'll get 12's NA then.

Just depends how much hook you want. The ET Streets will hook pretty damn close to a slick. But they act like a slick on the street too. The swaying back an forth on the street isn't too bad if you keep the air pressure up also. You get used to it and learn not to drive too fast w/ them. But like others said, DON'T get caught in the rain. We all say are cars never see rain, but every year I know I get caught atleast once.

Greg - you said you have had them on the cobra for a season, but how many miles is that? I would have to beleive the ET Streets are about done after a mear 3K miles or so.

Actually.. I got a whole summer and about 5000 miles out of mine. I did run them down to the cords though! :D Did a lot of smoky burnouts too!

I run E.T streets. they hook great but the side wall is loose. if you corner two hard they rub on the inside. 27/10.5/15 they suck in the rain so if its a daily driver get BFG's they are good in the rain until they are worn out. i drove 65 in the rain and sleet one day with them. I like the look of et street because thats the look i went after. but i think i would go for the new mt drag radials next time.

one more note. with a sticky tire parts break faster , trans, clutchs, driveshafts ect.. because there is no giving in the tire dept. i broke more often with sticky tires.

ET Streets rule!!! i'm running a set of 28x11.5's on my car right now. i run about 16 pounds of pressure on the street, and drop them to about 10 at the track. i rolled the outter lips, and have never had them rub at all. rain usually cut you down to about a 15-20mph cruising speed.

I was pondering also. It seems like the MT Drag Radials are unobtainable, I dont know anyone running ET Streets on street, but I think I might try them.

I run ET Drags on the street :hehe:

No, Dan is the crazy one........I'm sane!

Slicks actually run down the road really nice. I usually run about 25-30 lbs in them on the street. I've even run them in the rain. Wet blacktop rods won't give you a problem, however smooth concrete roads will get slippery when they get wet. Hell, we got caught up in a snowstorm in Idaho 2 years ago with the car. I regretted not having a treaded tire on the car then......

It all depends on what your using them for. Et streets are great for the track. They hook like no other. But if your looking a tire that is for the street and the track i would recomend the MT Drag radial. I've used them on my car and they are great for street and strip. The BFG's are really good to but do not get as good of a wear as the MT's.

Your saying the MT Drag radial lasts longer the the BF's ??????
