Anyone have a link or instructions on where to pull the tach signal on a 2000 GT? I'm trying to hook up an NOS Coil-on-plug window switch, and haven't been very sucessfull in finding out where to hook up the signal wire :(
It's making me a little nervous running the new nitrous kit with no window switch... first time I left it armed while launching, I just about hit the rev limiter :thud: But after that first good hit, I just can't stop! And I'm only jetted for a 75 shot and running about 600psi in the bottle because of no heater (yet) :p If I don't have that window switch in by the time it's hitting like it should, I'm going to over-rev with the nitrous still spraying for sure :icon_trag

I believe you will need a tach adapter to provide the signal.

From what I understand, this window switch is supposed to already be specifically set up to work with a coil-on-plug setup. The way I understood it, it shouldn't need a tach adapter also, but I could be wrong. I've had people tell me both ways :/
But, if you have directions on where the tach adapter would get it's signal, that may help figure it out as well:)
Thanks for the quick reply!

I dont know about the modded ones to work with the cop but I think the tach input wire to the ecu is pin #21 it is a dark blue wire
send me a pm with your email address and I will email the instructions from my tach adapt.

Thanks Tony! Got 'em!
Hopefully Saturday I'll get a chance to dig into it again.
Sounds like you'll be at GLD on Sunday, so I'll see you down there then :shifter:

Been meaning to reply to this, just slow to get around to posting....
I ended up calling the Holley Tech line directly... with the COP window switch, you are supposed to hook the signal wire up to the white wire (ground?) on one of the coils.
The ECU wire in your instructions is for the Crank Position Sensor + signal (might have been ground, was a few weeks ago I looked it up).
I haven't got it installed yet :( Was busy with on-call stuff for work last weekend, and didn't get to it this weekend. And now I need to sell the car, so I probably won't get it installed :( I got the bottle heater in, but haven't managed to get my bottle back from the guy who was supposed to fill it for me.... looks like I'm just not supposed to run nitrous :(
Thanks for all your help.

Yeah, I need to sell it:(
I've decided to go back to school full time... but the only way I can make that work financially is if I can get rid of the car payment and the insurance that goes with it.
It's going to suck to have to give things up (like the car)for a while :buzzsaw: But I think it'll be better for me in the long run
Ask me in 5 years if it's the right decision:p
