I've stumbled across a few sets of Precision Products ti wrist pins with casidium coating and very limited run time....$100 for two sets that will fit the pistons required for my dart block combo

Once I hear back from the company about the fatigue life I'll make my final decision regarding the purchase

here's some info on the pins ;)

Those are some pretty trick pieces. I've thought about using them but i've never ran across any NASCAR takeoff or spare unused stuff that would live in my application. The wrist pins are about 20 grams less than what i currently use....which is about 0.35 pounds for my whole rotating assembly. Tempting.....just too expensive for me if bought new. If you scored some new stuff for that kind of money i'm jealous! LOL! Hey....ask the guy if he has any 0.927 X 2.75's laying around.....

Dave, I think they all use 2.95's but some are smaller diameters...I'll send the guy an email to verify this though ;)

I just got off the phone with Precision.

for my application those pins will last 2-3 seasons of racing every weekend and spraying the bejesus out of the engine...but they should be checked for wear inbetween. I intend to run mostly n/a so that buys another season or two from what he said. He reccommended only using a ti pin which yeilds a 20-30g weight reduction compared to tool steel pins. The new pins they sell included tool steel wear rings on the ends, but I can send mine in and pay to have them fully inspected and installed for $90. Though the guy said it would only be piece of mind.
