Walbro offers a 255lph and a 255lph high pressure pump, which one should I get? Do I need the high pressure? Wont the FPR take care of the extra pressure anyway?

Combo is TFS Heads/GT40 int./TFS Stg.1 cam/ 24lbs / and so on.

Is there a power adder in your future ???? If not the F.R.P.P 190lph pump would work fine in your application. :thumbs_up

The plans look good for a Vortech in the future! Go Boost!

"Pressure" and "Volume" are two different animals Adam. The reason you run a pump that can move more fuel per hour is so that it won't run out of fuel volume on high demand like in a high-boost situation. Fuel pump, rails, injectors, all these things come into play. You can have plenty of fuel pressure but once you begin to draw on that pressure, the volume of fuel moving thru the rails/regulator/injectors increases dramatically- and if there is not enough pump to keep feeding the fuel system, meltdown takes place...

Just to add- These pumps do not increase fuel pressure, they move more fuel itself- the system is "circular" like a loop- you have a pressure line and a return line. The regulator meters the fuel pressure to the rails/injectors, the pump does not. What some people do not realize, is that these higher volume pumps move so much fuel in that loop that they actually heat the fuel up. If you run too large of a pump, and then run your tank down below 1/8 tank, the gas starts to warm up from the high level of circulation going on in the system, and you lose power. The key is to balance the pump to the rest of combo. You may get differing opinions on this, but it's overkill to go to a 255PLH pump with the thinking that "I have room to grow now". You should not do that unless you really are leaning towards a power adder.

Excellent points Greg.
On my 94 5.0 with a similar mods list, and an H.O Vortech, I was running an adjustable FPR, 24 injectors, Ford 190 intank pump and had the vortech T-Rex inline that came with the kit. Waaay to much fuel, hot and the smell of gas until I had it tuned. Ended up not using the T-Rex, just the 190 and a 6:1 diaphram on the FMU. The extender wasn't available then. You should be able to get mid 300 HP range or more. Depends on what your into. The 24 lb injectors will hold you back on your combo, IMO.

Thanks for the replies guys, I guess a 190lph isnt out of the question due to the fact I am not sure how soon the vortech would happen. I was wondering if the 24's would be enough, I went with them because of the deal I got. I can always change down the road. Thanks again!

The 24's will be fine for N/A but for a blower, going with 30's would be better.
