Hello, I am a new member to this site. Looks like a great site. I have a 1990 Gt, I've had it for about four years, and i have done a few basic mods to it, but i am now looking to have the engine rebuilt, along with a few other mods, are there any ford speed shops around in the wisconsin area? Any info will help thanks.

I live in hartridge also, on Mansfield ct. my car is red with white pony rims, cirvinis ram air hood and stalker front bumper. I havent drivin it much this summer, I just bought a new F150 and am having fun with that, also I had a run in with a ditch and am ashamed to drive the car with the frnt bumper and quarter panel messed up. I bring it out now and then. Ive recently gotten a few grand to throw into it, so thats why im looking for a good shop near by.
I've tried to post my pictures of the car but my file size is too large. Not sure how to make it small enough?

I have seen that car driving around, I saw the damage to the front clip. My brother and wantnotch both live on Mansfield Cir., I work at Jenson Motors, I see you drive by sometimes. I have a red 89 GT vert with 98 Cobra wheels, it sits outside of work sometimes, and I am at my brothers with it occasionally. You should swing out to Waynes on a Tuesday if you get a chance. Good luck with the car!

So do you drive the 03 gt much? I checked out your pics, but i dont remember seeing it around? I like the cobra R effects Well mine was a mint car utill i had three weeks of bad luck with it... left it at a buddys house, came back from the bar, and the rear quarter had a dent and tail light was smashed...his roommate hit it... then my dumbass put it in the ditch leaving a bar the next week...only body damage luckly... the week after that i was headed out east on 94, it was raining and ended up doing a 360 in the center lane just before the moreland exit, ended up down in the ditch, thought i was going loose my car into the concrete median, swung it out the other way luckly. So ive been slacking on getting it fixed, got the money now though. I just need a little fire under my ass. So i would like to go next tuesday but it sounds like im going out for my B day. The week after that for sure though, Ill keep up to date on the forum here.http://www.midwestmustangassociation.com/vb3/photopost/data/500/284My_stang1.JPG[img]

Welcome to MMA !!!!!! I'd show your camaro buddy your taillights if you know what I mean. If not, then that would motivate me to wrench till I was able to show them to him. Good Luck on your project !!!!!! :burnout:

I take it on errands and other things. But most of the time it sits in my garage. My wife screwed up the front bumper pulliing it out of the drive way when we first got it so she really doesn't drive it unless I pull it out for her.
I remember seeing the damage on your car. That sucks man what a crap string of luck you had.

Quite a few people around here have had work completed there. Everyone has had nothing but good things to say about them. Any speed shop will cost you a little extra but John and the guys down there know their stuff and that can go along way. Plus if you get a Midwest Mustang Association sticker on your car you get 10% off there services.

Really? thats pretty sweet! How would i go about getting one of them?
So do they help out in any of the planning as for what type of parts to use...I have a pretty good genral knowledge of working on cars and have done all my own work so far, but as for rippin into the engine I lack. I have a basic idea of what I want, but have not priced anything out.

I am sure they can walk you through what you want and provide the kind of ride you are looking for.
As for the sticker Greg usually has some with him on Tuesdays at Waynes cruise night.

Not much here, been super buisy! Messed my car up a bit though, "Dont drink and drive!" So I need to get the body back in shape and then fiure out what i can spend on the engine. Was thinking about doing a basic rebuild, with cam heads and intake. Dont know much about what parts work well together though. So have you got your car back up and running? What have you done to yours?

Yeah man dont drink and drive, especially with a mustang! That sucks. If you ever need any help man I'm there. I know these cars like the back of my hand now! Yeah I finally drove it after two years, yipee. It's freakin nice, but I have to replace my head studs next weekend. I used the Sportsman block for my combo and wasnt told the exhaust side head studs are longer than the stock block. So I have coolant coming out of em cause they dont seat deep enough into the water jackets. It still have some tv adjustments to make as well to the AOD. Yeah thats right, I still have it. I really want to make it to FFW at GLD though. I gotta lot of work yet. Hit me back.
P.S. What type of truck did u get. I just got a 2001 F-150 myself.

I could possibly use some help, i just need to get off my ass! I thought getting on this site would help, and going to Waynes to talk to others with this mustang bug i've cought. Been disapointed that i havent been able to go. you should try to meet us mext week for waynes drivein its in Cederburg, havent been there yet though. So ya just put my self in debt, it was a tough desision truck, or one bad ass car that i cant drive in the winter? I ended up buying a 2002 F150 FX4 5.4L its got 36k... Nice truck shitty gas milage...15ish per gallon. Ive got a few Gs to put into the car though, just not sure how to use them yet?

Just let me know when you need some help. And dont pay anyone else to do it, unless its shortblock work. I built my motor up in school from oil pan to intake so I know the stuff fairly well. I wont be able to make it there although it sounds like fun. I have a good two weeks of work ahead of me, and then who knows what else!
A few G's hey. H/C/I! What are looking to spend on motor?

Well depending on how much it takes to get the body back in shape, i need the frnt bumper, pass front fender, and windshield, then get them painted. After that, i want to get my sub frames welded in, and new shocks all around...I may have roughly 3 -4 thousand for the moter. H/C/I ?

I would get the Holly Systemax 2. It's a complete HCI kit for 2600 I think. Then you would need injectors, maf, afpr, and a fuel pump

Yea, ive looked at that package, but dont remember whats all included?, I still want to do a rebuild though, the car + moter have 106,000 mi, not that i have had any problems and i have heard of 302s with close to 200,000mi and still being strong, if Im going to put this kind of money into the moter i want it fresh.

Id go for the TFS package instead. It comes with H/C/I, valve covers, pushrods, roller rockers, head blots, gaskets, and timing chain for cheaper than the holley!

Im just not sure i would be able to afford that on top of a rebuild, i really dont know how much the build will cost me.

I agree. Its a great deal. I've also heard so many people are disappointed with the holley package. I dont know of anyone that runs it. Edelbrock Performer RPM packag is good too, but best bang for the buck is Trick Flow from what every one tells me. What you want Nick really depends on how far you want to go in the future. Most everyone agrees, like you wanna do, start with the lower end and work up from there. It'll actually save you time and money in the long run to do everything at once, rather than over a long period of time. A good shortblock and a head/cam/intake combo will take you really far for power, but will empty your wallet real quick. I ordered my components individually, trying to match the best parts together for best results. However, I spent more than I would of with a package deal. For around. Do you want to go nuts w/ all forged internals, expensive gaskets/bolts and the best parts, or just something that makes real good power w/ n/a or low boost and is reliable? Check out CHP at coasthigh.com, thats where I went for my 347 stroker kit. Very reputable place. Talk to Mike Capp and tell him what you have and get a recommendation as to what to do. D.S.S. is good as well, but I have no first hand experience with them. Anyways, so I dont go on forever, just let us know what your intersted in doing and well find something nice.
