So back to my original question, Fast Times... what type of shop is this, good place? Anyone had any work done there? Resonably priced?
Any other good places in wis. looking to do an egine rebuild and few other mods?
So i fianlly got some pics up of my car if any cares to look, they were taken early spring just before my run of bad luck.

Fast Times is an excellent shop.
Greg has had a lot of work done there.
Also if you have a Midwest Mustang Association sticker on your car there is a discount. :D

They put in a Torsen differential and set up the gears on my 03 Cobra, and they did a great job. Very happy with the work.

Performance Plus in Madison 608-277-8161 ask for Don.
He will get you any part you need & let you know who could do a rebuild for you.
Did you check out some of the crate motors that Ford has to offer? could be cheeper & easyer than a rebuild. most any shop can put in a crate motor in a few days time.

I needed it done pretty quick, and Greg highly recommended them, so after talking to them on the phone and finding out they had done a couple of rear ends on other 03 Cobras, I just decided to take it there. I'm sure I could of had it done cheaper somewhere else, but I have learned the hard way that you most likely will get what you pay for.

thanks it is funny you mention not seeing them too much. When I was in the staging lanes a couple weeks ago some guy came up and was like what is that it almost looks like a mustang. I told him and he was like wow that has to be a rare car cause I have never seen one before. If it were stock it would be 1 out of 806, but it wasn't stock when I got and it is a heck of a lot farther from stock now. I don't think I would ever sell it so being 1 out of 806 doesn't matter too much to me anyways.

There is a guy who lives up the street from me, he has a white capri, not sure what year though, it seems to be stock. It sits in his drive way, covers it for winter, but have only seen him drive it once or twice.

it could be an extremely rare "white magic" capri. Yes that really is a type of capri. The so called title for mine is "crimson cat". The white magics were made for only 2 years. In 1981 there were 575 made. Then in 1982 there were only 348. The crimson cat was made only in 1983 and I was wrong there were 805 made.

EXACTLY.
I think if you make price the focal point of your selection, you will in many cases end up disapointed. Our family owns a service company, and we often hear "Joe Schmoe, Inc. is 10 bucks cheaper than you are" and our answer is that we charge what we charge and are not out to win the price wars, we do quality work, are prompt and professional and if you are just looking to save a buck, you may wish to keep looking. Kind of ironic, because 5 minutes ago I talked to a guy on the phone about doing some electrical work for him and he mentioned that a competing company charges $15.00 less for a service call. When I explained what I just typed a few lines back, he decided to have us come out. We do our own checking on our competitors, and the cheaper ones have dozens and dozens of unresolved complaints with the BBB. We have exactly ZERO. We get a LOT of repeat and refferal business, which means after almost 40 years we are doing something right. I'd be much more concerned with the quality of the work than just how "reasonable" the cost of the work is. This isn't a loaf of bread or a jar of mayo, it's your car we're talking about here. ;) If you are shopping for something tangible, like tires or a manifold or something that will not vary from store to store if it is the same brand, then obviously the focal point should be price, but doing that when personal skill is involved in the process of the service you seek is not a good idea, IMHO.
There's plenty of shops that will undercut another's prices just to get the job. Then they cut corners, use cheap parts, or employ people who turn over very quickly and make less money than a shop that has someone like Steve at Fast Times who has worked there every day for like 10 years... When you do good quality work, you do not have to undercut the price just to get new business. Busy shops are busy for a reason and it is not usually because they are cheap, it's because they are good.

ntastng - are there any badges, or other things to look for to tell what it is, i can take a look on the way home tonight. I think i remeber seeing a blue RS sticker on the side in the same spot as the 5.0 on the stangs. I believe it has a hood scoop also.
2003 mach - Hey thanks, Im not trying to knock anyone here, and i do understand the get what You pay for. Its just that this was the only place that was mentioned, so i was curious if anyone knew of any others. I appreciate all the help though...Thank You! I'm sure i will be giving Fast times a call.

I don't believe there are any other badges on the outside. Possible that there would be a couger head towards the front of the front fenders. There were a lot of RS capris. MIne included. Sorry that we got off topic.
