I will be installing a taurus fan tomorrow. I am planning on getting a 50 amp circuit breaker. Do I need to get a relay also or will the circuit breaker be enough? Is there anything else I need to buy?

You have to have a relay, you do not want to be switching thru a breaker Ben. The relay will handle the high current and the large spark that will take place every time the device is activated. Using a relay, you can then use a small activation switch and mount that switch as far away from the relay as you want, without fear of burning the switch contacts out over time or starving the fan motor due to excessive wire length or small size. Mount the relay as close to the battery as possible, with as short a run of wire as possible.

I run mine off a standard ford fuel pump relay, which wires directly to the back of my 3g alt (battery is in the hatch/trunk) with ~2' of 10ga and a 6" 10ga ground

Thatnks guys the install sheet I have from corral says to use both a relay and a fuse but then the directions for the fan controller I bought just says a fuse. So I thought I would ask before I het into it tomorrow and end up being screwed when no stores are open.
Thanks again!

The controller might actually have a built in relay...atleast some of them do
I plan on using a continuous duty solenoid as a relay, the type used on a tommy lift. It can handle 300a intermittent and 175 continuous. And cheap to boot. Should work fine. Now I've just got to figure out the best way to mount the fan to the radiator.

I bought the nylon straps to mount my fan to my radiator. I tell you the bottom of the controller looks a hell of a lot like the bottom of the relay lol.
