For now it will still be all motor.
sounds like it'll be quite the impressive setup. ;)
We will be entering new territory for the NA Ford V6's.
Parts are being ordered, we need to get an idea of the final flow numbers we should have with the new heads, then start figuring out the cam.
Well the heads are packed & ready to be shipped out tomorrow for a little porting. :hehe:
jefflouis
11-07-2006, 05:50 PM
are those your old stockers? something tells me that the phrase "a little porting" might quite possibly be the understatement of the year. ;)
I am sending my old stock heads off to get massaged.
The prototype heads are flowing like **** through a Coop. :D
Sorry Coop I just had to say it.
If we were going NA with the motor we would easily get 300 rwhp out of this but, NA is not the final destination.

Damn Kirk!
That'll be nuts!
Well we are building to add boost so the interim NA numbers will be good but not as good as if we built it for NA.

i wanted to chat with you about blown V6s.... i think i got all the info i needed.. im tuning a Roush lookalike 2004 V6 next week... he has a procharger 11psi kit, 42lbs injectors, fuel pump, and ba2400 MAF... should be a fun little car.. ill let you know how it turns out, just waiting for the weather to clear!
I called & left you a voicemail earlier. I left my number if you need anything.
If his motor is stock it should get about 300 to the wheels.

'Tis better to get your home, retirement and other financial goals out of the way before expensive play. Having a baby has brought that home to me so I'm making sure we take care of her college savings and having the house all fixed up etc. before I spend big $$ on cars. It's still fun to watch and see the projects of others unfold. In a few years I'll get going with a car project but for now I'll just wait.

O My !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's initially N/A the maybe within the next year put a little Procharger on it.
And those flow numbers are with the stock valves, we have installed larger ones & I should have flow numbers for them some time this week.
That is the direction I have been heading in for a while, and with what I spent on the exhaust last year we are not changing it for a turbo.
Besides it will meet our goals just fine.
i gotcha i didnt know you had been considering a blower i always though you were going turbo. ok just wondering
Hey no problem.
jefflouis
12-17-2006, 11:39 PM
it seems like everybody and their brother is going the route of the turbocharger these days. its good to see that you're doing something a little bit different from everybody else. regardless of what you choose to use for a power adder, i'm sure that car is going to fly. one thing i keep forgetting about is that your car is a convertible, which makes what you've accomplished and eventually will accomplish even more amazing.
before i forget, what are you doing with your old heads, intakes, etc...?
My current ported heads and intakes & the cam will be for sale.

I've never done a 1/4 mile run on a dyno. How does the dyno factor for the weight of the vehicle??
Congrats on getting it all together so quick Kirkster!!!!!
It was a MustangDyno and it has you input the car weight. We did it last year with the same weight, dyno had a 14.2 and it ran a 14.10.
So not too bad. It's a good guestimate.
Greg@GLD
12-31-2006, 08:14 PM
Your numbers are excellent. Mustang Dyno usually reads "lower" than a Dynojet.
