View Full Version : 94-95 T5/ Fox chassis T5 compatability?
Can I take a T5 from a 94-95 mustang and fit it in my 88? I heard something about bellhousing diferences, yet I have also heard that the swap will work.

I don't know about the SN95 T5 and the Fox body differences, but someone here most certainly does Al, I'm sure they'll post up.

The steel bearing retainer and the input shaft on the '94-'95 T5's is longer. The bell housing is actually deeper (longer) also.
You can swap it in if you use the SN-95 bell, or you can have the input shaft and bearing retainer swapped out to the earlier shorter style and use the Fox parts. Using the SN-95 parts will move the tranny and shifter back about an inch.
I can swap out the input and retainer if you want to go that route.

Hmmmm.... sounds like the best of all my tranny replacement options. :D

Just give me a call when you want it done.
Well, I am too late on the one I had in mind.
If I buy a rebuilt from you, can you deliver it to cedarburg (the side closer to port)?

Yes, I could deliver it. Have you got one for a core?
Yeah, but it is still in the car. I plan on doing everything at once. So it will be available after the swap.
This isn't the car I saw at Verlo a while back with the yellow striping is it?
No, mine is all black.
Hey portponies- is there a brake-in period for the tranny?

No. It should be good to go right away. :shifter:
I have the old tranny waiting for you. Do you have a good pickup time?
