Man it's nice out for working on the car. Much better than when its like 90 out. Just finished changing the shocks and taking a little test drive. Man it feels different. Went on a side road and did a little burnout :hehe: none of the massive wheel hop I used to get. Can't wait to get the lowers on.
We take another step closer to the weekend!
Tim, What's the word on the spring isolators? Mine are due today... sorry.
Joel, How's the car running? I bet it feels good to be behind the wheel again.

Mine are due tomorrow, did you see my stress vent yesterday. Since they didn't indicate shipped and I wasn't getting any email or VM response I ordered from Maximum Motorsports using 2nd day air shipping. I called the 800 number so I talked to a real human to make sure they were gonna be here Friday. StangSuspension had not even shipped them yet, I emailed to cancel and he was all "They're shipping today ???". Didn't want to be a jerk but with all the work stress and the knock sound from the rear I gotta do it this weekend and I needed to be sure to have the parts. Gonna cost me the same.
I'm not trashing StangSuspension however. I had talked to the guy on the phone last year (someone lost my shifter order) and he fixed it so I got it that weekend and sent a Steeda golf shirt
If I have a larger time window I'll order other stuff from him. Like I said he's cool just a bit overworked right now and he understood my stress. He's also a computer pro, nuff said :thud:
Cliff note: Ordered from another source for Friday delivery. Canceled first order. No problems with StangSuspension just had to be sure, guy at SS is cool. :D
Good the hear you got it worked out.
My order acted the same way. Took a few days to show it was processed & shipped.

BTW Friday night I'm going to take as much apart as I can. Wheels off, car on stands, shocks disconnected and getting the exahust out of the way. If anyone can drop by on Saturday for a hand that would be great. I think I got everything I need, 4 jack stands and 2 floor jacks. To help with bolt removal I'm going to get a slid hammer from the shop at work and if I can figure out how to grab the head of the bolt that ought to help. I have some heavy (6 gage) wire that might work if the hammer has a hook end attachment.
I should be around. I will know for sure probably tomorrow night.
Well the wife's day started out poorly.
Rock to the windshield on the way in to work. I will have to see how bad it is tonight.
She said no major cracks.

Bummer, I hate it when that happens. Got behind a gravel truck this morning and I just slowed down and let some other vehicle in front of me. Hope the rest of her day goes better, I know sometimes when the day starts bad it just never seems to get better.
Thanks, she has been having a real rotten week. SHe figured it was a sign of how the day was going to head. But so far so good.
Got my isolators! :D

I can't find my Mustang shop manual, the wife cleaned. I guess she didn't think it made a good coffee table book. LOL
I need the torque specs for the rear suspension bolts. I know that the sway bar should be around 35 - 40 from an install I read. Need the upper and lower control arm bolt torque specs. Gonna post over in suspension tech as well.
Tim,
You need a copy of the Ford Maintenance CD.
It has it all. Talk to me about it next time you come by.

And the rest of the week looks great. 70*'s today & maybe 80* tomorrow.
Time to drop the top and turn up the Buffett.

Thursday, 2 more days to go. Man I hate having a rental car, I mean the wife's Taurus isn't too bad 'cause it's got the 24 Valve V6 but the rental they gave me is gutless. I want my car back from those idiots.
 I can't believe that the "tech" didn't put on the lower mount before trying to finish installing them. I looked at the sevice CD and the last step in removing a strut is to remove the lower mount. It then says installation is the reverse of removal. Idiot, he should have access to this info.
When are you getting it back? Today?
Well enjoy today since the next three days are forecast for RAIN.
