I'm guessing you don't have any mods right now? What year and what tranny do you have?

IMO it sounds a little pricey, but not outrageous. $578 is getting you stage 1 with a cone filter with a small heat shield, a chip, pullies, and a new serpentine belt. Stage 2 just adds a catback for $475. I think there's other ways to maximize the bang for your buck though.

I think you should invest in subframe connectors first. They shouldn't run anymore than $170 installed depending on the type you pick. Also, I bought a MAC fenderwell intake for $150, March Pullies for $55 (belt cost about $30), for my 99 V6 auto. That's $175 cheaper and might make for a better start. If you have an auto tranny you should get a tranny cooler too IMO. They're pretty cheap and could save your tranny in the long run. You can always go with an ebay intake also and save $100 too. I hear they fit decent with a little work. The dual exhaust can be done cheaper with GT take offs.

I don't feel that the chip is a worthwhile investment unless you have quite a few mods including gears.

Ya not many at all I had to spend all my summer savings on a ticket and insurance. I thought it was a little pricey to. Then again you get it all at once and it doesnt seem to be bad quality. The Gt take offs are what ive been looking at for a while but it seems like i can find a decent set my local junk yard sucks.

watch the forums... 3.8 mustang usually has them except that you might not find them local. When you're ready - post a "want to buy" ad here. I'm sure someone might have something for you.

I haven't found a good junk yard around for a long time. The only one I use is Hustisford Smart parts near Watertown, but they're typically pricey.
