Ok, I think I got all the air out of the cooling system and the engine is cooling and the heat is finally working working....but I just reved up the motor and I see some water that came out of the exhuast pipes! I guess it could be condensation because it is cold out, and I have been starting and cooling the car all day....Could it also be a head gasket problem? They are brand new.
If it's coolant you will smell it. Could just be condensation.

Smell it? Like it will be potent coming out of the rear....Just asking because the new motor has smells all over it right now.....

I would think you'd also see a good amount of white smoke if it was the gasket. Probably just condensation.

Ok, now I am worried.....When I rev it there is a lot of white smoke the shoots out.....along with a spray of water. CHIT

Check the oil for signs of coolant/water.

Sorry....No Joke Larry....
Greg....What would it look like....How can I see clear water in oil? There is no coolant in there for sure....but with all the coolant problems I was having while filling this (I was doing it wrong) There is probably more water then coolant in the system.
Won't the oil have like a milky kind of look to it?
It just won't look right.

when you drain the oil you will see a white milky liquid(antifreeeze)
Also check the dipstick 1st see if it's milky. Also a blown headgasket would also have bubbles in the overflow tank. How can it be a headgasket with no miles on it? I'd doubt it. The water is probably condensation in the exhaust since last year.
Also I think I remember hearing that after a head swap etc you may see some white smoke because of a little coolant getting into the combustion chamber. If it goes away that's the case.

Well.....there actually were bubbles in the over flow tank but I think that was all the aid that was being pushed out of the system....I don't think there are bubbles anymore.....I have let it cool for a couple hours and now I changed the oil....The oil was dark and there was maybe the slightest milk to it.....but nothing that looked that weird....I poured some into a pepsi bottle and at the very very very bottom there was a tiny tiny sereration but I think that was nothing....I just made sure all the levels were good and I have started it again....we'll see what happens....
Also, would the engine even run right if there was water in there?

Emulsified Oil, liquid i.e. water and oil. If it's foamy/milky and a tint of whatever coolant color you're running. Just water, no coolant yet?

Ryan, you know, I just remembered- Larry might be right-on target. When I started Nice Asp for the first time this year, there was a LOT of condensate and white exhaust and water droplets coming out the tailpipes, but after I let it warm up that all went away, I am sure that there was a lot of moisture in the exhaust, I had it in the damp garage for three months. The next time I started her up there was no more white exhaust. I have driven the car several hundred miles already and there has been no more.

Yeah Ryan ur car sat out side for a while so there could be a lot of moisture in there.

I just got back from a 50 mile drive and I will check the levels in the AM.....I just opened the degas cap and the level was right where I left it last which is good....tomorrow when the engine is cool I will check the crossover tube to see if the level dropped at all there, because I topped her off before I left....I think I may just be a little parinoid, which is good.
I don't blame you for being careful.

its normal. all engine do that. not sure in the details but water is a by product of combustion (something like that.)

You really have nothing to worry about. It's still cold and damp outside, and you'll see condensation coming out of the tail pipes even in summer. Unless there is white smoke POURING out of the tail pipe and clouding everything up, there is nothing to worry about.

Ryan what happened to your car? Why couldn't they dyno it
Did you guys get Doug's car home ok?
bk_breaker_svt

Yeah.....Doug's car is home and in the garage....we left early on Sunday and it still took us til like 6 because of the damn time change that we forgot about.....
My car is out of commission probably for a week only though.....Turns out that the A Hole that sold me this bellhousing (The only used part I purchased) sold me a 5.0 bell and it just messed stuff up all over.....Clutch didn't fully engage.....Wicked Harmonic vibration after 70 mph.....So we are going to pull the bell in my car and replace that, and pull the front cover off of Doug's and get his oil pump gears replaced too.
