I just finished installing my SLP headers and QA1 tubular K-member last week. I used the stock a-arms and the 4cyl Fox body springs that I had for 3 weeks and man its loooow now. Too low, I can only fit 2 fingers in between the tire and fendor. It has a nose dive look. The QA1 k-member actually lowered the front end, I guess the a-arm positions are the cause of that. Well, I brought it in for an alignment and it’s so bad I had to buy CC Plates (Steeda), and put my stock springs back in. I just got those 4 cyl springs! My camber was at -4.6, the plates allow it to get to-1.6, so the stock springs had to go in to get it where it needs to be around -1 to -0.5. Man I’m ever so pissed. And i don’t have the doh to buy coil overs and struts and tubular arms so don’t ask. Thanx for letting me vent guys.
Sorry, if any one asks, the 4 cylinder springs are spoken for…maybe, I’ll know by Sunday. :D

Alignment is a flat $50, but i had 3 hours of labor thrown on top of that :thud: An hour for fixing my exhaust leak, and hour putting my old springs back in and an hour for the damn cc plates, lets just say the bill was 5 times more than $50

Bummer! Did you do reasearch on the sum of all these parts from someone else's results, to be sure it all works together?
Ah, the joys of modding the cars we love! :thud:

Of coarse not Greg :D The QA1 was a last second impulse purchase, i found it new on sale for $220 shipped, so i figured since i needed to drop the k-member, might as well get an aftermarket one. Well, i had no idea what i was getting into. The stock arms wouldn't fit without a little grinding, actaully a lot of grinding. I had to grind the ends off so the wouldn't hit the k-member. I called QA1 and they said the member will drop the car an inch with the stock arms and springs :thud: Well, i wish i had a camera when i had the 4 cyl springs because it was ghetto low, the front end and headers would scrape on my driveway curb, so i had to be careful. It's funny how we wanna mod our cars, but get so mad when i doesn't go according to plan :burnout:
