I was just thinking about you last night wondering when we were going to see thins. Man, that's awesome Steve. 750 is nothing to sneeze at. 1100 is just a button away. With the right cam that thing will do it with small jets and run forever. Mine went from 700 to 1030 on 28 jets. How about nitrous pull numbers? I see a new 8 second member in the near future, and quite possibly the need for a 25.5. That thing is gonna freak you out when you drop the button the first time......1000 ft-lbs is a wonderful thing! :thumbs_up

Nice numbers! What kind of dyno?
Steven,
Congrats! That has to make you feel good, and want to hit the track.

Just got in the house moments ago. We didn't get a chance to run it on the juice. (the retard thingus on the dyno got busted somehow on the last 6 cylinder that was on it. (oh well). Just something to play with at the track.
As far as what kind of dyno, /brand, etc, I'll ask. (I don't pay attention to that stuff when I"m there).
Gotta run down to the dealership, and steal the cherry picker so I can get the engine out of the truck and into the car. THEN the real fun begins.
Would of LOVED to have been able to make the first ford day at GLD but there's no way in snot, (plus I know I absolutely drained the checking account with the race gas purchase, and dyno playtime money.....................momma STILL hasn't added all that up yet...............yikes.
For sure either GLD or CFR will be when I let loose the dogs of war.

The REAL Fun Ford day is way later this year, plenty of time for you to come down and see us and show off that new mill.
chassis dyno or engine dyno?

Engine dyno. The dyno is a: DTS. dynamic testing systems}Dyno.
For sure I"m planning on hitting the REAL fun ford day down there. (and any other excuse I have to come down there and play for that matter, Greg.
Like I"ve said many times, I may go to rock falls a couple of times this season, but ONLY to try and dial in the suspension and motor. NEVER to juice it. That'd be a total waste.
Within moments the engine /trans will be IN the car......................heh heh heh............................................... ..........

Cool. From what I hear the DTS dynos are the most accurate and typically are more conservative than the Superflows and other dynos out there. Hurry up and get that bitch put in.

Only got to re-fenaggle the alternator mounts (crank trigger setup spaced it out 3/8", so gotta 'modify). then install radiator/cooler stuff, finish wiring up nitrous stuff and remount the solenoids, and then can fire it up................(neighbors are gonna be SOOOOOOOOOO pissed)..........:>) (but not tonite...........past this old mans bedtime).

Congrats STeve, I would be really happy with that!!
Can't wait to here some track times. How much spray do you plan on running?
Looking good. Good numbers. I am glad someone is getting their car done.

Trink, I got that wilson plate system. I am only (at this time), contemplating hitting it with their smallest setup (at least that's what they say is the smallest you should run thru that plate). That'd be the 150 shot. (should be enough to break things I would imagine)..........
Can't hardly wait to piss off the neighbors this weekend...........:>)
Maybe test the new converter in the driveway a couple times........:>)
Neighbors, hmmmm I can't wait to introduce them to racing this season. Procharged 393 ci with 3.5" exhaust. Yeah they are going to love me.

Thanks everyone for the kudos. Much appreciated.
I just wish timing would have been a little better, and I could've gotten to bring it down to GLD this weekend for the first fun ford day.
Oh well, we'll get there soon enough!

I'm actually fairly paranoid about 'letting loose the beast' this year. I've seen SOOOOOOO many videos of crashes/fires/just plain old nasty accidents this winter, PLUS all the little things that I feel are still 'not right' with the car. I have new untested brakes to try. I still have to drag it down to the shop and see if it's 'square'. The new converter, don't know what to expect out of it, 'feel wise'. I can only assume that it will be rather a dog without the juice, but Lenny says it should be 'loose enough' for my engine, (that was with last years numbers to go by).
I need to trailer it someplace and just PLAY with it for a weekend, and sort things out. THEN I'll feel safe enough to 'let 'er loose.
Gonna start it tomorrow sometime. (only have to run to wallyworld and get some distilled water for it, and a couple odds and ends. Can hardly wait to knock pictures off neighbors walls and trash a couple of their light filaments...........:>)

I know what you are saying. I have way more HP than ever but all I plan to do is go out and make take baby steps. Some hits to the 330 then 1/8th etc etc. I would just take it easy until you are comfortable no need to try and impress anyone with numbers.
Nice job on the combo!

Nothing better in the world then letting go of the trans break button and all hell breaking loose(as i like to call it) controlled chaos of sorts. I always have a few goose bumps before the first spray pass of the year, but once she gets going it is about as good as it gets.

Steve spray it when your ready & make sure you dbl check that everything is working like it should when the nitrous is on. leave the bottles home the 1st time to the track so you don't get talked into something your not ready for.

Well, I just finished wiring up (and testing), (flow tested it too), the nitrous system. Seems to be working ok.
Still gotta do some tinkering with the lines to the gauges in the hood, (small petty stuff at this point), but for the most part, if I had funds, I'd trailer to gld tomorrow..............sadly, I do not.
Thanks for all the kudos AND especially pointers, guys.
