I've looked into those. I plan on getting more info on them but would like to get one next year.

I've been searching around the Corral for info. too. Sounds like a nice item to have when compression and boost are mixed.

I found other brands too, haven't looked at all of them yet. I also found this, but I can't see my application listed?

I'm thinking I should be able to run my blower like it was intended with the combo I have if I take some additional steps to safeguard the system.

Greg, that's almost identical to the setup I just recently installed. Mine uses the windsheild washer bottle, add cold D.I. water and charge temps can be seen almost instantly mines set to do manually or automatic. Manual to get cool as possible before a run or auto to maintain a constant temperature. They work great, some people are plumbing CO2 to the sprayers "for inner cooler spray" and some people use nitrous just as the chilling agent. Documented and proven .5 second gains in the quarter with No other mods.!!

Yea, funny you replied, I did see a thread you started. I also didn't see too much concern about your boost level. :D
I'm much lower than you are...!

Thanks Bob! I already saw all of those in that thread you were involved in. I also have seen the Snow uint in the magazines... It's rated lower than the others in that one thread. I have a lot of reading to do here. :D

Actually Greg the boost levels with the other stuff wasn't a large increase on;y a couple of psi. But with the sprayers the cooling effect does wonders for the intake charge, much cooler. If anything even with your current boost level it would still cool down the intake charge and be a multi-function and gain for pbvious reasons; car runs better with cooler charge air=better ET's. times, and a little more safety margin. Even on pump gas and less timing my boost controller setting 0 little or no boost, level 1= 6-8psi, 2=8-12,
3=12-17psi. Less timing of course without the race gas, but by using the sprayer my engine operating temps go from around 220degs, down to 180 degs in a blink of an eye, regardless of the boost setting. With race gas level 3 @ max boost is good for around 25whp and safe and cool temps. "Not slighting anyone here, just a little info". :thumbs_up

I don't think I'm going to have issues with ACT, but every little bit would help as far as preventing detonation...

"The kit directions include tuning tips for the controller. Snow set the variable controller to start injection at 3 psi and be in full swing at 5 psi. The methanol/water injection increased boost pressure 2 psi for a total of 17, but the air/fuel ratio took a dive, so we began making adjustments first to the timing retard, then to the fuel pressure and eventually the initial timing to lean it back out. Thanks to the Boost Cooler, we were able to decrease fuel pressure by 7 psi and increase initial timing to 13 degrees to bring back the air/fuel ratio to 12.5:1. This resulted in 571 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. That's over 78 hp from $1.50 worth of methanol.
Granted you have to factor in the cost of the Boost Cooler kit, but it's a far cry from the price of an intercooler and slightly less than a nitrous kit. After nearly a dozen runs on the dyno, we'd barely used an eighth of a tank of methanol and water. Talk about horsepower per dollar. The Boost Cooler also offers great results on diesel and naturally aspirated gasoline applications as well.
Hype or fact? Only your tuner knows for sure! :D

Yes I have, part of it from your suggestion about knock sensor tuning Tom... :D
Been reading all evening. Information superhighway you know... ;)
That SMC alky injection system looks killer. I'm quite interested in that system.

Looks very promising but it lacks a general boost questions area. It's great to have the various brands and such, but at the same time there are general questions that pertain to supercharging in general- Also don't see much if any discussion on this topic, maybe I am looking in the wrong places?
Nice site anyway, I knew about it from a previous suggestion, thanks Larry...

Greg, The water injection kit have been around for years, mainly in turbo buick circles. It does work very well. As far as buying a kit you might want to look into making a kit your self. Shane97Cobra put a SMC kit on on his car. He was planning on running just water so they sold him a upgraded pump. At a upgraded price also. The kit was nice but could be built for about $150. If you search on the Corrall you can find about 5-6 links to sites where guys built their own kits. They list Part numbers, suppliers, and instructions. I would like to see the Anderson kit. It seems more approiately priced, but we will have to see what it comes with.
***Install tip: Do not install the pump upside down. It doesn't work that way.*** LOL Sorry Shane.
I have asked about the J&S system before also. I only found 2 mustangs running it. They had nothing but good to say about the unit.

I too am interested in seeing what Anderson comes up with.
DId Shane get the SMC kit with that controller I posted a pix of?
As for the Mustangs running the J&S system, what years were they, do you recall?
I only got one reply to my questions on superchargerhelp.com
The guy told me he'd run nitrous instead of the S-trim... :(

greg, if your looking for a intercooler. mark302 has some laying around, he might not be using them

Yes, Shane has the controller. On turbobuick.com there is a guy on there that goes by Razor. He has a nice controller also. I plan on using his controller on my DYI kit. He seems real knowlegable on injection kits.
Razors website: http://www.alkycontrol.com/
The J&S system I believe was on early 90's cars. Like 91-93. That was a long time ago that I saw them. Very good looking kit, but does it work and how is installation on a Mustang? Thats what I want to know. Finding more people who use it would be nice.

Greg, Terry on mc might still have a hookup on intercooler cores for dirt cheap if you want to go that route
The lasotas built their own water injection system for a fraction of the cost of comparables...but the article isn't online anymore :(

Like Mike siad I have the SMC kit on my car. I was told that the intake pump will not hold up to water only, which I am using. To keep tuning as simple as possible. So I have an external pump much like Snow kit. I went w/ SMC for the controler. I have my pump and bottle mounted where the battery used to be...it looks a little hacked the way I have it mounted. When I get some free time and some more braided line I would like to hide the pump on the bumper support like one of the DIY kits did.

I love the controller they have. It has worked very well, cept mine is wired wrong and the low alcy light comes on when it is spraying and the spray on light when it is low. HAHA.
My car was running ok w/ the Kenne Bell. Went 11.68@115.86 first time out at GLD w/ a 1.50 60' time. Only had it out one more time and sold the BK. Picked up a used Vortech and the new PMS system and have been trying to dial it in. But might have a problem w/ my head unit. More to follow on that.
