spark plug ?

enlighten me please
i had the hood open on a f150 triton 5.4 unsure of year (maybe 2000) and four of us dumb asses couldn"t find the spark plugs. i have never really looked at these engines and now i have to know, because im baffled
thanks for the info in advance to this dumb question :confused:

They are on top of the head right where the intake sits on the head...There were probably big (size of a half dollar) black cirles right there - those are the coils (coil on plug ignition).

BTW they use a new socket for these, I believe its a 9/16 hex.

The new 3 valve 5.4 tritons use the new spark plug configuration/size. Older 2 valves are old same old same old. :>)
