ok i am having a problem when my headlights are on the whole driver side is a lot dimmer than the passanger... also when i flip my high beams on the the driver side headlight goes out and the corner and marker light go dimmer.... also when i hit the left blinker the back light stays lit and doesnt blink but when i hit the right side the blinker blinks but really slow.... when i hit the hazards they both blink normal at normal speeds... could this be cause by a bad blinker/washer fluid stick or whatever you call it?

here are a few ideas

up on the rad bulkhead you'll see a pair of 7mm green coated screws with black wires/ring terminals on them...take those screws out and wire brush the area under the terminals and the terminals themselves. These are the front light harness grounds

check/replace your turnsignal bulbs and clean the sockets out

remove the trim pieces around the steering column and remove the connector for the multifunction switch (the blinker/washer stick)...clean the terminals and reinstall

replace the flashers

Has it always done this? Or has something changed recently? It sounds like a ground, but it's probably some quirk about these cars that I'm not familiar with.

i had already replaced the headlight switch which made the driver side lights come on believe it or not they didnt untill i switched that because they were cracked and burnt i replaced the multifunction switch witha working one and same problem... but noticed that one of the connections there was cracked and burnt i am going to replace that tomorrow.... i dont know how long it has done this i just picked up the car on saturday... other than that the car is really clean and functions well

the best thing you can do is place those lights on relays...it'll keep the switches/connections from melting again. I think the corral had a tech article on this back in the day, and it might still be online
