I am the lucky owner of a 1987 Lebaron!!!(YAAAAAAAAAAY).
I just put a new TPS, and IAC on it with a new fule filter. So the car didnt run befor all this(well it did then it stoped running thus the new parts) The fule pump turns on then when the engine starts only for about 2 seconds it dies then you can hear the pump turn on. There is gas going to the TBI crap, so I know that it's not pluged up, the pluges look fine, and i'm pretty sure that the timming is ok too. So my question is if the pump is going out on me would it caus this to happen?? Any help would be great!!

Thanks

I don't know the answer right now, but let me sleep on it. It seems to me like i've heard of this symtom before.

Sorry, can't even venture a guess as to what the problem is. Maybe bypass the relay, hotwiring the pump to see what happens.

Not sure of the type of fuel pump, but if it's dropping out could be the pump or the connection. Clean the connectors if you can and re-tighten them. 17 year old wiring could be part of the problem. Hard to say. Good Luck
