Actaully looks too tall? I have Fox body V8 springs out back and stock up front, but the QA1 k-member lowered my front a good 1-1.5", but i am putting in Strange struts and coilovers this week. It seems my rear sits hight than the stock springs by .25-.5." Yesterday at the track i had a couple people saying my ass end seems high. would this hurt my ET's? i got the springs thinking it'll help the car out better, but is it really(when it goes down the 1/4)? What should i do? put the stocker back in? or cut the V8 one? I know you starting ******* up the rates when cutting them. if i do cut them though, what shoud i use, plus how do i flatten the top off the spring back down so it sit properly back in its perch?

do you have lca's?

get a lift type lca and the rear will drop 3/4+ and you wont have ot touch the springs

another option might be v6 springs? but i'd much rather have the lca's

I do have some Steeda LCA's but the aren't the lift type. Should i cut the spring? but how would i flatten the top of the spring to sit in the upper perch?

Just put the stock springs back in. You cannot cut a rear spring nor should you cut any spring...

if it sits too high i'd go back to the stockers for now. custom order a set of rears after you scale the car. i had to do this with my notch. everyone said to run 4 cyl/ rear springs, and once i put them in, the rear wouldn't move even an inch when i launched. custom ordered springs, made a couple spring perches, and haven't had a problem with them since.

JFI: 2860.....car, driver, and 3/4 tank of fuel did not work for me with 4 cyl rear springs. have since went with custom #125 springs 12" tall and 2" tall spring spacers. :D

i had to cut my Moroso front springs, and so has everyone else i know that has used their front springs. i took 2 full coils out of mine with my 310. and now i wish i had 1 coil back now that i've gone to a 393 :thud:

If you read my post carefully you will find that I said REAR springs, not front. Of course you can cut fronts even though its not advisable.....
