As you all have probably seen ive been shopping around for a shop to weld on sfc's. I was really interested in putting a pair of full length subs from maximum motorsports in, but alot of shops are steering clear of even wanting to perform the install. The few that have are quoting ranges of 175 up to 325 for the installation.
What is everybodys opinion on these two types of sfc's?
What im trying to get out off this is to help me determine whether the full length sfc's will really be a good value for the cost.
FYI - my goal for this car is to make a fun street car that eventually will be running about 400hp naturally aspirated.(if that helps)

Cerra's used to charge 100 to install subs
find a friend with a welder and tackle the job on a saturday....you really don't want to pay that much cash for someone to weld sfc's on
any full length weld on sub will do
imo, mustangs should have had connectors from the factory, thats how essential they are
if you can't get them welded for less than 100 locally, call 563-210-2102 and ask for Terry...he'll hook you up but it would mean a drive to the qc's

For standard size connectors i can find them under 100. Appreciate the reference for terry too.
The problem is with full length ones (my example the maximum motor sports full lenght sfc's) they have so many little separate pieces and welds that just seems to scare the beejesus out of everybody else.
I agree about that sfc's should come from the factory as well.
The dilemna im facing is pay a shitload more to have full length sfc's put on for that little extra connection. Or just go with standard size subframes and consider them enough for my goals of connecting this beast for longevity.

Agreed, Im trying not to lose sight of this principle but these price differences are really making me wonder about the overall value of full sfc's VS standard

Jason is right...building your own is easy and saves a ton of cash
but kenny brown and hpm both have ~45-85 dollar weld on full length subs
