As I mentioned in another post, I installed a Spec III (6 puck) "Hybrid"
Part number is SF483KH
$389.00 (shipped)
I am using it with a re-surfaced billet steel flywheel.
Pedal pressure: Compaired to my old Centerforce D/F it is a little tighter (harder) but not much.
Feel: I was told you can't "slip" these clutches, but this "hybrid" style does allow some slip and so far it does not feel "on or off" as I have been told to expect. There is a measure of slip you can do with it. Also so far not a bit of chatter either. I only have about 65 miles on it so far, so it's too soon to tell but shifting is nice and smooth with this clutch.
Time will tell if it can stand up to the level of power I am making. I have a lot of city street driving to do over the next two weeks so I can be ready for the MMA day on the 30th...
As for the old one? This is the 2nd C/F clutch where the disc looks PERFECT. Hardly any wear to speak of! But the pressure plate failed, like the last one.
C/F says to send it back to them, they 'may" replace it for me.
