I am looking for some good street/strip suspension setup information. Here is what I currently have and what the car is currently running. Remember the car is driven 100 miles to the track and back. I still drive it on the street.

Global West Subframe connectors
UP FRONT: Lakewood 70/30 struts with 4 cylinder springs
IN BACK: Lakewood 50/50’s with stock springs
Stock Upper Control Arms
Global West Lower Rear control arms
Global West Track Link
Steeda Anti Roll Bar
MT ET Drags (26 X 10 X 1) 12 psi works best

The car weighs 3318 with me in it. My best ¼ is 11.0@126 . I am running a built 347 all motor combination. The car is a 92 Coupe and is a manual (TKO). I have run a best 60 ft time of 1.50. The averages as of late have been in the mid to low 1.5 ranges.

Is there anything I should change that WILL help me achieve a better ET? Should I keep some of this suspension stuff or dump it for different stuff? I feel the car should run mid to low 10’s with the kind of trap speeds it is making so I am assuming more suspension work will help. Thanks in advance to all who reply?

try adding a set of double adjust uppers and tweaking the pinion angle...hell you can even borrow mine at the track sometime and see if they help any

Thanks Mat, I am going to buy some shortly. I don't know if I am really going to need them with the Track Link and all (everyone I have spoken to says the torque arm does the same thing the uppers do and therefore you don't need them) but am willing to give it a try. I really want to get some 28 x 9 x 15 inch MT ET Drags. I think those would help out a bit as well.

the uppers will keep the rear from binding...with stock uppers and poly bushed lowers the 8.8 really can't move freely. Sphericle housing bushings would be nice as well

idk about that track link...you might be overpowering it

You can try my 28x9s if you want Ed. I just dunno when we'll be at the same track the same day anytime soon...

Thanks Rob,

I spoke to a guy down at Wolferacecraft who recommended the 28 x 9's too so I am just going to buy some. Anyone want a good deal on some used MT ET Drag 26 x 10 x15's? :p

I don't know Mark302. They were new as of last year though and they have alot of wear left in them.

I will talk to Gene and see what he can do on the slicks for me. Thanks Rob.

Ed-

what are you going through the traps at now for rpm? i don't think the 28's will help you that much unless you're hitting the traps at a ridiculous rpm. yes, your et should be closer to mine based on your trap speed. i also know i need to go from 4.30's to 4.56's or else go back from 28" tall tires to 26" based on the rpm i was hitting the traps at on my 2 "soft" passes. keep in mind on those passes i was running 4.30's and 28" tires, shifting @ 6200, and i was hitting the lights @ 6700. once i really get things limbered up and tuned, if i start shifting at anything close to or above 7000, my trap rpm should be alot lower than the 6700 it was on my 2 soft passes.

btw- how much did that roll-bar help out??? trying to figure out how to get mine to come out of the hole straight now rather than all twisted. i'm thinking about trying one on mine along with some spherical upper bushings for now.
