Lisa and I went to NYC with some friends for a few days. Fun trip saw lots of stuff. Had fun figuring out the subways, first time I was in a city that had several different trains using the same track. You had to make sure you got on the correct train but once you had it figured out you can get around quite easily.

We saw a show and went to the normal tourist things. Two things stick out however.

- Ground zero, it's very real when you stand there looking at that spot. They still have to take a building down that has too much damage to save, they can't implode it because it's over the subway so they gotta do it floor by floor. The new 7 world trade is going up so the rebirth of the area is starting.

- USS Intrepid, WWII Essex carrier that was rebuilt to launch jets and served till '74. Now a musiem, they have a 9/11 display with a part of one of the planes (it's in a display case with a distroyed laptop and small debries including dust) and some of the letters from people. That display started to choke me up due to the human side it put on it. (The letters etc have been removed from Gound zero now)

I did have some good Za in NY but I like it all.

Kinda funny on Sat. after they Yankees won some New Yorkers were going "Sweep". I guess not.
