I just put in some new Maxim Motorsport 4-bolt cc plates to align my car. i have Strange struts and coilovers with a 14" coil. How noisy is normal for coilovers? When i go over bumps i get a knock/rattle from the strut towers, plus on tight turns they make noise to. i can live with it i guess, but i'm not sure if i have to adjust something, like add in another spacer or i'm fine with it? :dunno:

Steve

I think you should just give up and sell me everything you've put on your car for a dollar. Better yet I'll give you 1000 peso's for it! :thumbs_up

It sounds like something is loose.

Mike, you can pay me in burritos, chit man. :D
I'll go over everything again and snug up any bolt/nuts.

Just how many Burritos would it cost?

The onlt time I've heard noises like that it was a bad strut bearing....but that was on a GM.

I have heard of coilovers being noisey, that might just be the way it is. Good Luck

I have never ran coilovers i didnt put them on my mazda for fear that they would be noisey and I couldnt have that with my daily driver. Have you always had the noise or just since the caster camber plates?

No, the noise was they from day one and i had the Steeda cc plates at the time. i have no problem living with the noise, just wondering who else here is running coilovers and seeing if they have noises to?

my coilovers are noisy also. it doesn't matter because I can't hear anything once the engine is running..... cut off your exhaust, then the coilovers will not be so noisy. :thumbs_up

My old X2C rear coil overs made a lot of noise, one of the reasons i got rid of them.

Thanx Mark(s) for chiming in. Maybe i'll run open headers to quiet them up

Hey Joel, did you ever get your 3.73's in yet?
Plus, can Vince post my burn out from MMA day?
