Looking for some advice on a aftermarket fiberglass hood. I recently put a 408 in my car and with the nitrous plate I can't fit it under my current Cervini Ram Air hood. I'm thinking I will need a 4" cowl hood, and I was looking for some advice on which companies are good or bad. The Cervini hood I have now is nice, but I see a lot of other companies out there making hoods now.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
I will also be selling the current Cervini Ram Air hood. Its in great condition and has 2.5" raise. I believe it was called the Stormin Normin model.

Stick with Cervini's, they are about the best hoods out on the market.

I liked my Cervini's 6" but it was too heavy. Fit was great, though.

Thanks for the posts guys!!!
Does anyone know if you can buy a bolt on cowl that is larger than 4"? If so where can I find one?
I'm afraid that a 4" cowl might not be enough for me to get an air cleaner on, it will be really close. A 5" cowl would be perfect, but I really don't want a pin on hood.
Thanks again

A 4 in cowl is pretty big, most air cleaners will fit under one.

What kind of motor and tranny mounts are you using?
Factory K-member?
What kind of air-cleaner, how big of element?
Are you running a Wilson Plate system?
For anyone wondering you can buy a 5" bolt on cowl hood from a company called Champion Fiberglass Products.
Thanks

Moroso solid engine mounts, poly tranny mount.
No air cleaner, couldnt even get the edelbrock triangle air cleaner on it, or a drop base.
Factory k-member.
Nitrous express plate system.
Do your homework and buy a good hood. Check Glasstek also.

I"m running a glasstek. Loved the quality. (or love the quality)...:>)
Bolt on. Great company to deal with. (at least they were 2-3 years ago when I got mine).

Thanks for the advice guys.
I actually ended up buying a glasstek 4" bolt on hood. Cleared the air cleaner with no problem at all, I did not even need the drop base air cleaner I was going to use. The best thing was I went and picked it up and did not have to deal with shipping companies or freight costs. I would recommend them for sure.
