I have longtubes with a 3" X -pipe that goes to 2 1/2 mufflers and tail pipes. I am wondering if it would be worth it to add 3" mufflers and dumps. My car makes 480rwhp on a Superflow right now. Thanks in advance.

I would go with a 3" muffler with your combo, but I would keep the 2 1/2" tailpipes for the street to keep the noise level down. Weld a flange at the muffler outlet so you can bolt on some dumps for the track.

With 480 rwhp, you shouldn't have to worry about any rice burners blowing you away on the street because your not running a full 3" exhaust.
