I would like to tint the windows of my stang to the legal limit, does anyone know what the legal window tint limit in Illinois is? Also, anyone know of any where near Chicago that would do it for a good price?

You can tint windows as dark as you want. The only thing you can't do it tint the driver/passenger door windows and more than 6" down on the windshield

I had the rear window and 1/4 glass done in limo tint on my 89lx about 10 years ago at midwest glass tinters and it still looks great. I believe the darker the tint the higher the price. I work with a guy that had light tint put on his Ford Taurus side windows and has gotten tw0 tickets. Your taken a chance.

anyone will vouch for this. Tinted windows suck at night. Try backing into to a parking spot or anything in revese.. lol

So what would be a good comprimise? A decently dark tint that would look good in the day but wouldnt suck at night? or do all tints pretty much suck at night?

They pretty much all suck at night. Might as well get 5% tint aka limo tint

ive always tinted my windows..........but i think it looks dumb to just tint the back three, and not the sides, i have limo on the back on my mustang, and 35% on the driver and passanger..............been pulled over 3 times with my mustang, and when i had my TA, it was almost every week..............so far only one ticket, but im sure i just jinxed myself!!................i think having tinted windows is great, and it makes your car look good, but it is hard to back up at nite, but you get used to it :burnout:

I have 15% all around and love it. It makes the car look steathy and it keeps the heat out! So far, no pull overs/tickets, but i have the windows down 90% of the time.
