for removing the bushings from the axle housing? I have the entire thing stripped down except for the 2 stock bushings, and was just wondering what you peeps have done to get them out.

Destroying them is an option, as I will end up using aftermarket control arms and spherical(sp) rod ends.

Thanks.

I thought that most people just torched them out, but I am not positive.

I drilled some holes through the rubber bushings and was then able to press out the old rubber bushing with a big socket and a C-clamp. I then took my air die grinder with a round carbide cutter and ground out a slit in the outer metal sleeve and was able to deform the sleeve so that it would drive out of the diff housing ears.

There are different approaches depending on what tools you have to work with.
