I use nittos(for now) 275/50/15, best 60' on them so far is a 1.83 but that was on a cold day when the starting line was so so.. They are good on the street and in the rain. I think my next set will be the m/t or bfg just because I want a little more bite off the line.

Isn't the fasted drag radial time on those tires Kirk? and just recently set a new record, "James forgot the big guys name" who is the fastest on drag radials.

I'm running Nitto Extreme II roadrace tires, I have cut better 60's on those than I did with "regular" Nitto Drag Radials. Plus they lasted thru all of last season and I did quite a bit of racing with Nice Asp...
These tires have the same tread compound as the DR's but a stiffer sidewall for cornering. You would think this would hurt 60 foot time. Nope...

Kirk, those tires are made for the fwd cars. That is why they have the small sizes in that line of tires. I've run Et streets, Nittos & BF's & 60' almost the same with all 3 makes. The Nittos were even a 16" tire while the others were a 15". I run the 235/60/15 Bf's on my car every day. They all work well @ this
point. Granted my car is a lowly low 13 sec car with bolt-on's. I'm thinking about running the new MT DR's this year. Just not shure which size yet. Adding real power to the car this year, so we'll see what I can do. My NMRA friends tell me with the new M/T Dr's on a 10 to 9 sec car they are .3 faster in testing over the same size BF tire. :burnout:

Big Daddy runs the regular DR's, not the G Force.

thats what I thought
I did not think they even make the g-forces in the size he runs

I run BFG Comp T/A DR's and love em. One bad part is tread wear but they hook like hell on the track and on the street. The new M/T's are better but that means they r softer and seeing the wear I got on the BFG's they won't last long on the street.

I use American Racer(McCreary) G60-15. I doubt you'll find a better tire for traction on the street. They lasted about 10k miles too

That's what I thought after I saw the sizes available.

Kirk you see my car everywhere on my Nittos. They have been on the car for two years already. I have tons of miles on them and lots of tread left. I have cut 1.72 60' foot times too. I am very happy with them. I think they are great for a street car that you do not want to buy tires for once or twice a year. I do think a BFG or MT is a better tire for the track. They will most likely hook better but will not last as long as a Nitto.

I have a spare set of stock wheels already so getting something for just the track would work.

All the BFG drag radials will now be under the g force name. The tread and compound will be the same, just a different name sidewall.

I have a set of 275/55 or 50's on my welds...pretty decent

the new mt's are interesting, and will most likely be on my coupe one of these days ;)

I"m going to buy the BFG's next week. Best price so far is Sam's Club.

325/50/15's :)

They are MAMMOTH!! Obviously a BFG tire since the nittos don't come in that large of size. Haven't found out at the track yet, but on the street in a spritired competition, they hooked great ;)

And I agree with the above, best price locally has been Sam's club, but Todd @ Discount Tire Direct has given us some great prices on tires.

They sold ten sets of the new M/t drag radials at the WFC this year and the cars that had them seemed to really hook.

Yes they looked and hooked good but they are pretty steep in price.
