View Full Version : Can you use a warning light as a shift light?

Thats what I got...can I use that as a shift light?......forgot I even had it and want to toss it on my sun pro tach I ahve that already has the built in shift light, you know the one with 1 LED light?...let me know what you think?

I'm sure you could make them work together. the light just needs 12 volts to light up..... I got rid of my tach (who needs them anyway) & hooked my shift light up to my 7al MSD box, RPM activated switch. the msd box will put out 12 volts when you hit the rpm that the switch is set to turn on & then I just cut the plug off the light & soldered the wires together.
so I would think you could splice the light into the wires that come from the tach.
