I'm leaving now, probably will be very busy but I think of cold winter days when you can only dream of racing, so I'm outta here!

Oh it did! Had a great time. So did my boss!!!
Here's Captain Ray taking my Mach for a test run. He had his girlfriend in the car and still went 13.70, not bad for never having driven my car before.

I had a new best for 2004:

Not that impressive but the 60 foot time was awful and it still ET'd fairly well.
There was a Torch Red Mach1 there running 14's and I tried to coach the guy but he wasn't having any luck. He let me drive it and I went 13.61@103.97. He was very happy and I told him "Hey, you don't have to tell anyone who drove it, ya got a 13-second slip! :D

Great time!

Thanks dooods. Eric, if it matters any, I had several 106's last November in mineshaft conditions. The video of my 13.29 on the main page shows 105.50
So it's not running as well yet but that is due to the air and the wind direction I am sure. I actually had a high 104.xx today but a bad 60 foot so it was like a 13.58.. :(

That's cool Greg! You know i've been down on my luck laterly, i know i have the power and gears to get a mid 13 or better, but i can't even get a high 13 :thud: Tony and I might go next Saturday, can i trust you to take my car down the track once? And i can take yours hehehehe :shifter: Seriously, can you give mine a try? I would let Tony do it, but he's afraid of breaking something. Take Care

I broke Jesse Jame's 2003 Cobra at The SVT Experience in Milan, and I ***think*** I popped a head gasket on Al Watt's GT last year when he let me drive it, although I did wack his time down by almost .7 to 12.41. ;) Al was too nice to blame me, but right after I drove the wheels off his GT, it started to smoke and then he reported having popped a head gasket.

All in fun and the pursuit of a better time Greg!! Not to mention the clutch and the install had everything to do with the breakdown "3 loose tranny bolts and one completely missing". LOL. The car was gonna go 11's period. I think that short cruz around Milan in my modded Cobra actually sold you on the Mod Motored Cars. 2 months later you bought the Mach.

Nope Al popped his head gasket while racing me earlier that day. He was having problems with his BTM that day and just disconnected it and ran 10* inital timing on the car. At the end of the 1320 all I saw was white smoke coming from his car. Then Greg got in the car with a blown head gasket, bad clutch and no BTM and knocked .7 off Al's best ever time!

Greg the Car Destroyer !!!!!!! LOL !!!!!!! On a more serious note, I've heard of a few new Cobra's, 03's breaking rear stock axle's with a stock car. What's the deal with that ????? It's bad enuff the GT's & Mach's do it but Cobra's also ?????

The half-shafts are weak on the IRS cars. Same thing with the live axles on 03-04 Machs- they are cast, not forged. I want to do the Moser Forged Axle upgrade before I start hitting mine hard off the line. Alex broke his on street tires
