First time to the track this year, first time with the new car, and I can't say I'm too dissapointed. My first run clocked in at a 15.383, as Greg witnessed I launched way too hard and ended up sideways half way down the track until i nailed fourth gear.

Second run I took her easy (as if just letting out the clutch on the street then gave it....still a little sideways through 1st and 2nd and pulled a 14.546.

Third run was my best. I took it VERY easy and even shifted into second way too early just to stop the sideways motion, missed fourth gear, took a second to find it (doh) and pulled a 14.283.

My last run I took her easy and still managed to spin through third gear because some jackasses in Hondas decided it'd be cool to drag water all the way up the track and pulled a 14.790.

I'm not really dissapointed, and I know I need drag radials because I figure with all that spinning I could have made up 1.5 seconds. This car has ran a 12.67 before with drag radials on from the previous owner (saw the slips and pictures).

Coolest part is, just as I was leaving, the guy that does the painting at GLD (I didn't catch his name, do you know it Greg?) said he was picking up two sets of rims and said he'd give me a set (10 holes) for free so I can put some drag radials on, so he's gonna give them to me next Sunday. Anyways, it was a very nice day there, cool but sunny most of the time. Pretty busy but the line moved flawlessly.

That's cool. With a new car all you need is practice, practice, practice. I put some 4.30's in my `03 and I'm relearning how to drive again! But some Nitto's are in my future as well, so i should be good to go. LoL.

most of my passes were in the low 100's, my 15.383 was at 97.5. My best ET time was at 101 MPH and the 12.67 was at 117 mph.

I suppose now would be a good time to type out the list, here goes

block bored over to 306
speed pro foged pistons and crank
speed pro stage II connecting rods
trick flow main stud girdle
arp rod and main bolts
hv oil pump
speed pro gapless rings
E303 cam
dual roller timing chain
stage III ported E7 heads - milled and undercut for 1.94/1.60 manley valves
trick flow springs/retainers, comp push rods
crane aluminum roller rockers
trick flow track heat intake
30lb injectors
vortech 80mm mass air
IST mass air adjuster
BBK fuel pressure regulator
190 lph intanke fuel pump
accel 300+ ignition box and coil
flowtech equal length shortie headers
FMS 65mm throttle body and spacer
world class HD T-5 trans
king cobra clutch w/ adjustable quadrant
3.73 gears, auburn posi unit
B&M ripper shifter
off road h-pipe (2.5")
KYB struts and shocks
BBK 1.5" lowering springs
Energy suspension poly bushings
SSM traction bars
BBK full length subframe connectors

I also forgot to mention I wasn't power shifting like some recommended I do...but with the traction issure i'm not sure if that would be a good idea haha.

I thought you were going to hit the wall on one of your passes... :thud:

NO CHANCE

Congrats on the passes. Not to burst your bubble- but the mods listed above are nowhere near capable of 117 mph. Perhaps he (previous) owner ran 12.6@107? That would be more in line.

Yea, Jerry I have to agree, I think that was a typo. Regardless, the car has some grunt, I think with practice Tyler will get that car to run a number.

haha...i meant to say at 108 mph I dont know how i put 117, it was 12:30 in the mornin sorry :) . I'm going to be ordering some BFGoodrich drag radials next month most likely and stick them on the 10 hole rims for track use. I need lots of practice like Greg said, and I know this car is capable of much more.
