Do you think it would be worth it on a self contain supercharger at 6lbs of boost. I am just unsure how much air temp it would take out and I would be relying on that alone for the power gain. Because don't want to change my tune. Thanks.

I don't. The reason to get those is so that you can safely run more timing with the boost. That's the general idea anyway, from all the reading I have been doing on them. The power increase comes form being able to dramatically advance timing without fear of detonating.I am looking at one as a means to run more than 19 degrees at full boost. It may actually slow you down to just add the injection kit and not change the tune. Do a search over on www.stangtuning.com. Even thoiugh you have a PD, check the Vortech forum, there's a lot of discussion there. Send Bob Kurgan a PM and ask him about this subject...

Its the S-trim guy again. Do you think my carb setup will put down similar numbers to your brother's? I am looking to make about 550hp at the wheels.
Thanks :worshippy

I think Mike's putting a wee bit more than that to the wheels. :D

Thanks Greg!

I haven't seen numbers from many carbed/supercharger combos , so it is hard to say how it will compare. The fuel injection is much more tunable so that might mean less HP. I would think those numbers are possible.

I have been researching methonal injection and boost coolers and have found pretty much the same info as Greg. stated. They really only benefit if you want to run more timing or higher amounts of boost. To bolt it on to your combo and not change the tune would not do much for you.
