well, i got my new GT-take off rims and bfg comp t/a's put on my car this afternoon. we came across one issue though. my lug nuts wont allow the hub cap to fit onto the rim to click on. so right now, i'm driving around on the rims and tires, but without hub caps. :D if you didn't know better, you'd think that somebody stole my hub caps. i'm gonna get some different lug nuts tomorrow or tuesday.
anyways, onto what's important. :D that thing handles like its on rails compared to my old 16" rims and tires. however, i have a feeling that the 17's weigh a bit more than the stockers so that'll more than likely hurt acceleration. i weighed the 17" rim and tire, but i forgot to do the 16" one. i'll try to update with that information soon if i can.
17" 5 spoke GT-take off rim and tire = ~45 lbs
16" 5 spoke V6 stock rim and tire = ~?? lbs
since i dont have the hub caps on yet, i'll wait to post some pictures... and i know... this thread is worthless without pics. patience guys, patience! :D
