I spent some time on the web studying the rear end gear change process and concluded that I, being a manly man, can easily do the job.
I ordered FRPP 4.10 gears, installation kit, speedo calibrator and
1999 Mustang Workshop Manual on a CD.
After spending a few minutes with the CD I realized to my horror that the IRS rear end is guite different from the standard one.
Gear swap requires 27 (not kidding) special tools. Well, that killed me DIY project.
What would be a good place in the Greater Milwaukee area to take the car to for the gear change? Has Fast Times done these?

Yes for sure they have Jari. Ask "Supersonic" how he liked the work they did on his 2003 Cobra. Steve has done several IRS gear swaps...

I did a couple of gear swaps on my 91's 8.8, and did it the hard way without the right tools, by putting shims in, putting it all together and checking the tooth pattern, if it was wrong, take it apart, adjust the shims....it was a PITA but I ended up having good results. When I got the 03 Cobra, the limited slip got really weak really fast from autocrossing, so I put in a Torsen T2-R, and since I did the others, I thought I could do this one. Taking it out is no big deal, I did that a couple times alread replacing bushings, but setting it up was a nightmare, and after many "days" of !@$#!@#!$@# ing around with it, I though I had it right, but it made noises I did not like. Took it to Fast Times, talked to them, took them for a ride, and felt very comfortable because they had already done a few. The did great work and I am very happy. I pound on this car, hard, and I have had no issues with the rear whatsoever. I highly recommend them.

Talked to Steve and Jon. They promised to put the gears on tuesday.
I got nice MMA discount, thanks guys.
I'll post the results next week.
Can't wait to get to the track to see if the gears make a difference.
