while my motor is out of the car would it be worth while to invest in a tubular k-member ? is it worth the money? i do have coil overs so i could get A arms also. or should i spend my money on other parts?

I have been looking into changing mine as well. I am changing my complete front suspension to save some weight and gain some clearance.
There are many different versions out there. Many of them will allow you to still run stock a-arms and coil springs or aftermarket arms and coil overs. Some have bolt on coil spring brackets on the k-member and the control arms. That way you can take them off if you change to a coil over kit. Some even offer droped steering rack mounts.
I like the PA Racing's stuff. I have heard nothing but good about them and they were real helpful on the phone. They will make it any way you want it in 3-4 days. AJE is real nice too but a little more money.

I would get 1. less weight, more room for headers & oil pans. they look cool.... I would get a good quality 1 thats built good & strong for a street car. it should also be able to use rubber bushings instead of solid bushings to mount the a arms for the street.

You can also set the engine back 1" if you chose to do so. But, you would then need a shorter driveshaft and probably need to refit the exhaust.

I would,
I am going with the set up from UPR to drop a little more weight off the front of my car

A tubular k-member will save you 25 lbs. Tubular a-arms will save you 14 lbs. The weight savings are compared to my stock parts vs. my D&D parts.
In my opinion, 39 lbs off the front end is a good thing. Tubular suspension parts are pretty reasonable these days. What are you waiting for?

I would also say go for it. I installed the PA unit with their tubular arms and it fit flawless with no grinding of anything. I dont think you can go wrong with that big of weight reduction. Since you already have coilovers your halfway there!! :D

its the money issue hehe. were do i stop. will it give me a better ET. 40 lbs is not that much. maybe i could spend the $600 on other parts that will make me go faster. get my point. not that i do not want them. if i could do everything i wanted i would have way more money in parts.
i like the idea of being lighter up front. maybe i will get more air. hehe

I have a UPR kit. It was easy to put in and with springs, control arms and K member it took off 65lbs. I probibly get better traction but I didn't see any gain in e.t. or MPH.

Everything on the back of the car is sold....i.e. rear end, control arms, shocks, etc. I'm going to be ripping and tearing all this coming weekend. I'll be putting up a list shortly.

I'm with Dave on this one, I got excellent service from AJE. I called there on a Saturday evening and got to speak with Anthony himself about some questions I had on my set up. Not too many places offer that kind of customer service. The K-member fit excellent as well.
