If you are running a K&N or any brand of oiled air filter, you should clean the MAF sensor wires regularly.
You can use a residue free electronic cleaner like this one.

Just spray some on the sensor wires & it will dry quickly.
Notes:
Also never touch the sensor wires they are very fragile.
After cleaning & re-oiling my filter I always drive it for a few days so any excess oil comes off of it, then clean the sensor.
