Has anyone ever used them, how do they fit? The price is right. Thanks

Can't give any input but I will say that I hope someone can. I'm interested for my own sake as well.

besides fitment you should be concerned with flange thickness. Thin flanges warp easy and cause gasket leaks. I've encountered this a few times with generic headers.

But are they truly "generic" or is is just them putting their name on a Hooker header or something along those lines? I believe Summit does that with other products that seems to be of reputable quality. Not trying to argue... just curious is all.

I've never used Summit headers. I don't know if they are good quality or not. I was just wanted to mention that the flange area is an important area. No argueing, its all good. I'm curious too.

The first set of headers I tried on my car was a set of 1-5/8" Flowtech long tubes. Flowtech makes the Summit brand headers. The headers fit fairly well, but there where a couple problems. It was almost impossible to get the starter wire onto the starter with out rubbing the wire onto one of the tubes. The other problem I had was the location of the collectors. They where way wider than the cutouts in my tranny cross member. The collectors pointed right at the bolts where the cross member bolted to the chassis. There was nooooo way I could easily fit up an exhaust system to the collectors without bending the pipes all to hell...So I broke in the cam with these headers and pulled them off and got a set of BBK's to replace them.....I hope this helps...

I talked to Matt88gt and he explained whats all in making them fit so you can use them. He said they are decent for the price but it seems like an afwul lot of hassle to get them to fit, looks like Ill b sticking with shorties for this year:)
