Just wanted to say hello to all. I've been looking for a decent club that meets somewhere in the NW burbs of chicago. Do you do any events/gatherings/cruise nights? And if so where do you most often meet up?

I'm currently driving a 94 GT with all the boltons and H/C/I running N/A and would love to get together with some of the NW IL stangers here.

Here's a shot of her, nothing special just real clean for a car with 111,xxx miles. And another shot of the engine which I just did a bunch of polishing on.

MMA does have a few events they put together. Look in the events forum for listings. A bunch of us hit up cruise nights in the area too. We usually have a post close to spring listing all the local cruise nights and times. There is a cruise night every night of the week in the Chicago area. Some nights there are 3-4 different towns with them. What town are you from?

Keep looking around on here. It is a great website with a lot of features.

Good to know you guys have some get togethers! Is this one of the larger clubs in the area or do you not really consider yourselves a club? I'll definitely be looking around for your postings on cruise nights!

I know what you mean about the cruise nights, I didn't have a chance to hit them up last year due to my car being in constant repair but this year I intend to hit some up for sure. I've just always been looking for a group of people to go with since a lot of my friends don't go out to the cruise nights that often.

Welcome Dale! I see you're not too far from me! There's some events here that MMA does. Like April 16th will be MMA day at the track (GLD), plus a dyno day supposedly coming this Spring/Summer. We had one last year, and even if you don't get dyno'd, its a good time and fun to hang with the guys and see some big numbers being put down. I crusie around with my buddies once in awhile, but some are chevy guys :rolleyes: so if you ever want to just cruise the local streets shoot me and some of the local guys a PM :beer:

I'm always up for a cruise. It'd be nice to get like 10 or so cars to just cruise around for a few hours. I'd definitely be up for something once all this darn white crap is gone :D
