Not sure where to put this, but oh well. :D

I don't like the idea of putting a big tach in my car. It's not a race car, never will be. I am happy with the stock gauges, but would like a precise shift point. I was thinking about buying a stand alone shift light and finding a good mounting spot for it. Has anyone heard anything good or bad about them? I would think it would be the same as a shift light on a tach, but without the tach. If anyone has experience with this, or even some thoughts on my idea, please chime in.

Joe, if you want a shift light buy a small one. Then for stealth, put it in the dash vent so it's not very visable outside the car. :thumbs_up

I don't have any experience yet but I bought a GTech. It is a nice toy and
has shift lights as well. It is detachable so you don't have to have it in your view all the time.

I've installed a few of em. All of em Autometer ones. Like Nick said buy an Autometer LED small shift light and install it in the a/c vent facing towards you, it will be more than bright nuf for you to see and no one will know it is there.

I have an autometer one with the pills... One of the larger ones but it works great and easy to install
